A German inspection Agency recommends an Important step to follow After running an External Battery

The German Technical Inspectorate (GTÜ) recommended two car drivers to drive for about half an hour after the engine is powered by an external battery.

The reason for this procedure is to verify that the dynamo is charging the empty battery adequately.

German experts pointed out that the battery charge is discharged in the winter in particular because of repeated operation of lighting and heating, and the cold weather adversely affect the performance of the battery.
